A musician is blessed with four musical prodigies, all girls, and cursed when a troubled young composer enters the lives of his Four Daughters. Adam Lemp (Claude Rains) already has enough trouble when all four young women, Ann, Thea, Kay and Emma (real-life sisters Priscilla Lane, Lola Lane, Rosemary Lane and Gale Page) fall for Felix Deitz (Jeffrey Lynn). But when struggling composer Mickey Borden (John Garfield) moves into the house as a boarder and draws the eye of Ann, their relationship that can only lead to heartbreak.
