It's Madrid, 1922. Newly arrived at university is 18 year-old Salvador Dali (Robert Pattinson - Twilight, Harry Potter). Shy, vulnerable and brilliant, he meets the college's social elite including poet Federico Garcia Lorca (Javier Beltran) and filmmaker Luis Bunel (Matthew McNulty). Salvador and Federico soon become closer, sharing their deepest beliefs, inspirations and secrets - convinced they have found a kind of friendship undreamt of by others. But it's not until a seaside summer holiday, where the idyllic surroundings and the warmth of the Dali family truly sweep Federico off his feet. Their union becomes more than a meeting of minds - it is a fusion of souls. Then one night, in the phosphorescent water, it becomes something else... Directed by Oscar Nominated Paul Morrison, Little Ashes is an incontrovertibly fresh exploration of the hugely influential and controversial Dali legend.
