Two blue-collar workers dream of making a killing through get-rich-quick schemes which inevitably fail. However, when their long-suffering wives come up with a plan for the down payment on a dream home, it's up to the men to come up with the money. They aim to raise it by investing all their savings in running an abandoned, broken-down greyhound at the track.
